Ski competition! Girls! 90s parties! Girls! Wacky hijinks! GIRLSSS!
 
What better way to start the new year with a movie that literally has all of that. So today we start with a classic, Ski School, a movie that also somehow has a sequel... so yes we'll be putting that on the Wheel of Doom for September. Oh next month's movie is Future Force so hang around for that one ;)
Ski School | 1991
Dave Marshak (Dean Cameron) and his friends are a pack of highly skilled skiers and devoted party animals. On the slopes, they are known as "Section 8." But their reputation is at risk when a ski school of snobs -- headed by pompous and preppy Reid Janssens (Mark Thomas Miller) -- shows up looking to win the end-of-season downhill competition. Now, the stakes have never been higher because, if Section 8 is beaten, they'll lose more than bragging rights. They'll also lose their jobs.

Succession | 2018
Although he has no plans to step aside as the head of Waystar Royco, the international media conglomerate controlled by his family, aging patriarch Logan Roy is contemplating what the future holds. He has lingered in the limelight longer than even he thought he would, and now family members want to run the company as they see fit. Despite a best-laid succession plan, tempers flare over Logan's intentions. Kendall Roy, Logan's eldest son from his second marriage and a division president at the firm, is the heir apparent. As Kendall attempts to solidify his eventual takeover, he and the three other Roy children face a difficult choice as company control and family loyalties collide.

Santa's Slay is a damn good time that's  wrapped up in a cameos and fun moments. Also a few good wrestling and holiday theme killings to ring in the new year.

Ghostbusters | 1989
After saving New York City from a ghost attack, the Ghostbusters -- a team of spirit exterminators -- is disbanded for demolishing parts of the city during the battle. But when Ghostbuster Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) learns that spirits have taken an interest in his son, the men launch a rogue ghost-chasing mission. The quest quickly goes awry, landing them in court. But when the ghosts turn on the judge, he issues an order allowing the Ghostbusters to get back to work.

The Snowman cometh! December cometh! The Holidays cometh!! And so does the Christmas Episode of the Simplistic Reviews Podcast. This episode starts with perhaps our favorite sketch of the year with guest stars we've had on throughout the year. We also enter the rectory and ask advice in a brand new Simplistic Confessional With Father Justin Polizzi. We delve DEEP into TV on TV Roundup and finish off with a little Simplistic Switcheroo.
